Post-Apocalyptic Muppet Fights?

This week’s number one song on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart is “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons.  You might have heard it in the promo for the TV show Golden Boy.

I’ve never been a big fan of music videos, but I understand their necessity as a promotional tool.  That being said, what do fighting muppets have to do with the apocalypse?  The lyrics talk about surviving a cataclysmic event (perhaps after a nuclear strike, hence “radioactive”), but the video has what appears to be contestants in Jim Henson’s Cage Match.  I can hear the air raid warnings now: “In the event of a post-nuclear catastrophe, Kermit and Missy Piggy will entertain you with an animal-style performance. Buy your tickets now, and save!”

Of course, my interpretation could be completely wrong… anyhow, welcome to the new age.
