Hybrid Theory
As I’ve said previously, it’s time for me to start looking for a new car. I’m interested in the hybrids. I realize they can be pricey, but I like the idea of not having to stop at the gas pump as much (and until George Jetson’s flying car gets invented, this will have to do). So far, I’ve been comparing:
- Honda Civic Hybrid
- Saturn Aura Green Line
- Toyota Camry Hybrid
Haven’t taken any for a test drive yet, although I probably should as I don’t know how any of them ride.

I am a huge Honda fan. The Hybrid on the Honda and Toyota actually cut the gas engine off (Cylinder management something) to get the ultra high 40 + mpg. It’s a little freaky to not hear the motor, but it does quietly roll past the gas pump.
I am glad Toyota fixed the AC problem. That could be painful in July. I am saving gas, but sweating while the Electric motor runs.
